Angus SG, I know, I know....

Collective groan on this one - so it is a huge cliche, but this is coming from someone who has put together a Frankenstrat, so I'm already a sad case, OK?
Last year I ordered a custom kit - an SG in all mahogany with a bound fret board and MOP block inlays, as well as a pair of Tonerider AC2 pickups. The plan is to build a 60's style SG with the right tone for me to bang out some AC/DC tunes. Nothing flashy, but hopefully something that looks and plays right.
The kit arrived in February, but was popped on the shelf as I was busy dreaming up the Strat/Tele hybrid I'm currently playing with. However, I'm in that no mans land at the moment waiting for the poly to dry on the tele kit, so I thought I might get the next one out to have a look at.
    Pics to follow...

Hey no worries! It's still warm enough here for the shorts, I just need to get the duck-walk all sorted...

Heh, I started in that direction and it turned into the Black Cherry so you never know.

Nothing wrong with a classic approach IMO. If the workmanship is there it will speak for itself, besides.. who doesn't want to jump around with a red SG?
