Thread: New TeleŽ Pickguards

    New TeleŽ Pickguards

Just added some new pickguards for our TL kits. They are from a new supplier, very good quality and well priced.

Added 3 Ply White, Black, Parchment, Blue Pearloid and Cream (Antique White).

Plus there's a Chrome "Mirror" finish 1 ply guard and a Genuine BakeliteŽ Black guard.

    Nice.

Are these specially designed to fit the PitBull kits, as there can be differences in heel size between the PBG kits and the US originals?

Hi Simon, no they are not made for our kits, specifically, but I did check a few and they seemed to be a perfect fit for ours.

I've also noticed some builders using genuine necks on our kits and they seem to fit well. So, I thought we had the same specs.

I'll have a bit more of a play when I'm back in the Warehouse on Friday and make certain it's a good fit for our kits (and my Genuine Tele).
    Cheers,

    Adam

There are some differences in neck heel fits (but only normally by 1mm or so), so it's worth adding the heel cut-out width to the descriptions to avoid disappointment.

The description from the supplier says they are for FenderŽ American Standard Telecaster. They do fit our kits perfectly.

We can add the heel width if members think this is necessary.

Clear is a good addition. Just need to ask the factory to make a smaller neck rout to suit single coil pickup and save the humbucker size for other Tele's and custom kits.

Hey Waz, that is a single coil rout, sorry if it's not errr clear in the photo. Phil W cam up with a good idea today... take this photo on top of a Spalted TL Body. Will do this when I get time.

I think Waz means the neck pickup route in to body. A clear pickguard will just show the size of the massive route.
