Cakewalk by Bandlab ( free )

A mate of mine let me know about the free offer of Cakewalk by Bandlab, so that piqued my interest and I signed up to the Bandlab website, the only annoying bit of the signing-up process was sorting out a user name, it said that letters, numbers, and underscores were accepted as part of a username, but all combinations of letters, numbers, and underscores I tried weren't accepted, anyway, i got through it all and was able to download a free copy of Cakewalk, seems to run pretty well on Windows 10 64 bit, haven't had any issues so far...touchwood, I'm going to see if I can use Cakewalk's plugins in FL Studio, it looks like they both support VST plugins.

O.K. Seeing 'sign in with facebook' set the alarm bells ringing with the baggage that crowd seems to be carrying around lately.
Now I get the ever so helpful 'BandLab' assistant popping up every time I boot up the PC.

I created an account using my email address which hopefully avoids the FB & Google gremlins.

Installation adds the helper to your start menu so just dive in there and remove it, nothing to do with FB
