    Dingotone Neck Final Coat

    Hi out there
    I have a Dingotone question.
I've used the clear neck final coat on the neck
The first and second coat came up absolutely magic
They seemed to be touch dry after after 24 hours but stuck to the advice and waited 4-5 days between coats
I went for a third thin final coat and it hasn't dried the same, still slightly sticky after four days.
Is this a problem? Will it eventually harden up or will I need something to help it.
The only thing I could think of is that i hav not shaken the bottle enough for the first two coats and have an uneven mixture for the third.

Welcome aboard. Yes its possible that you've reactivated the thinners in the original coats. I haven't used dingo tone specifically but the concept of most finishes is similar. I would put a fan on it for a while, evacuating the solvents away from the surface will speed up the curing process. I would just give it a bit more time and check back in if you don't see any more improvement.

    Thanks, Sonic Mountain.
The fan trick seems to be working. It is getting there slowly.
It was looking a bit cloudly on it but is clearing nicley.
I guess being a natural oil base finish it need plenty of time to dry between coats and does need to be put on thinly to prevent reacting with previous coats

Dingotone is all natural you just need to give it a few weeks and it will harden up just fine. Patience is the key with DT in my experience so the best thing you can do is set the neck aside and focus on something else.

    Thanks Grubsta
Yes it is getting there slowly and is clearing up nicely.
I've put it aside while working on the body.
I will be giving it plenty of time between coats.
