I've hit a few hurdles with the Thylacine build recently (which I will detail later) so that's been put in abeyance for now. No biggie as it's not time sensitive.
This one however is.
In what could be a dream build or a total nightmare I've accepted a commission! The task: build a replica stage prop of the Red Special.
An old school chum of mine is the musical director of an upcoming production of We Will Rock You in Adelaide, and he's asked me to make a copy of the iconic instrument for the show. It doesn't have to function but it has to look as close to the original as possible.
Challenge accepted!
I've made a rough template of the body in these pics and will now start on the neck...
