So where do we run the cable for the cone pick up? Do we cable tie the cable to the spider and penetrate into the control cavity at the closest point? Any ideas?

Yep, that’s what the interwebs tells me. I have run mine down the spider leg, and then put a 1/8” hole in the very corner of the landing for the cone into the cavity.

    Drilled mine as per photo.
Finally today the glue arrived so I can set the neck and then drill the final hole to earth the strings.

With the glue came the 12 Tele kit. I like the look of it ... but ... can I hold off and finish the resonator first?

I normally give it a day or so. Or I should say that life (and the bride, and madam 4YO) demand I leave it sitting for at least a day or two or three.

    "Round"... "sound"... holes

re: sound holes..Well it's sort of round...what's your idea for fixing the tea strainers to these "round" ..."sound" holes? I say sound holes but shouldn't they be connected to the resonator cavity? or just for show?

I am in the process of creating a template for the top and marking it out for these two holes. I will then rout these oversize and insert a plug sleeve which I will then use to rout the holes circular to a matching diameter to the screen flange.
The other idea i had was to use the template to rout recesses matching the od of the flange on the screen and secure them by the edge with a little CA Glue or similar to hold them in place.

Those tea strainers are just for show on this guitar. They only work on an acoustic resonator.

Any comments please regarding using the kit supplied cap (2A473J) in following photo. The numbers mean nothing to me, it's a part of the original supplied harness with THREE 500K pots. I'll be running a 500K volume pot for the mini humbucker, a 250K volume pot for the Peizo and a 500K pot for tone.
