    Hi, newbie here!

    Hi guys,

My name is Alex and I am a music lover. I started writing and singing my songs when I was a freshman at the university. At that time, I always need a guitar player for music accompaniment to support me. Hence, I've decided to learn how to play guitar. I'm so excited to find out and join this forum.

Welcome aboard Alex. Not a lot of playing taking place here as we are all to busy building them! Still a great resource for learning about the instrument though.

    Welcome Alex.

Sounds like you might be from USA so time zone differences may explain some of the lag in responses to any questions you may post.

Plenty of help is never too far away.

Look forward to see what you plan to build.

    Cheers, Waz

Hi Alex. For learning to play the guitar itself, you can do a lot worse than subscribe to the JustinGuitar channel on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBN...iEVLxO8w0p2sfQ

Stuff on there from beginners to experts.

Start a build diary, take pictures as you go and ask away for any help.

    G'day Alex.
As a 'mature' learner recently returned to learning guitar I have 2 good online sources.
    https://www.activemelody.com/

For jazz guitar can't recommend this one highly enough. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkT...CdHgmDZrGYz-5A

Nothing like learning jazz chords in the context of playing tunes and building a decent repertoire whilst you're at it.

    cheers, Mark.
