G'day all... Thought I'd sign up and say g'day!
Recently picked up an IB-5 kit and figured I'd start posting my progression over in the build journal section.
Bit about me; I've played guitar since I was a kid (35+ years) and have messed around pulling them apart, tweaking, fixing etc for most of that time... Built a number of guitars over the years - some from kits, some from sourced parts and some from scratch when I had the time and facilities - these days I don't have access to the woodworking plant equipment and hand tools just don't cut it for me (pardon the pun) so just stick to pre-machined parts and kits when I feel the need to sniff wood dust again! I also enjoy restoring old beat up guitars as well and give them a new lease on life.
In my late teens/early adulthood I worked for my dad building furniture so that gave me a great foundation when it comes to wood-working.
Anyway... looking forward to meeting you all around the threads!
