    Yep, it's the main reason why I've been getting more into a sound that has more midrange in it, when I was younger I was very much into that scooped-mids sound, and then I wondered why I couldn't hear myself over the drummer and bassist who were always louder than I was, makes a lot of sense to me now.

    I remember watching a John Lowrey ( John 5 ) interview where he talked about how clean his sound is in a live situation.

    My local blues jam mates seem to live in the muddy area as well but they are becoming "educated"
