I've been wondering where you were at with this one.
If it were me I would be leaning toward the butterscotch or mustard i guess it all depends on whether you want to go a solid color or stain. DB does a nice butterscotch i haven't used the color its self but i have used DT and i really like it.

Yeah I'm really not sure. I'd like to try those products, but I'm also interested in revisiting Rustoleum. The Shoegazer finish is really hard, and while there are some small imperfections, it really feels 'factory', its different to the acrylics in some way...

The grain on the headstock is really nice so I want to keep the all maple neck look.
    Build 1 - Shoegazer MK1 JMA-1
    Build 2 - The Relliecaster TL-1
Build 3 - The Black Cherry SG AG-1
    Build 4 - The Sonicaster TL-1ish
    Build 5 - The Steampunker Bass YB-4
    Build 6 - The Howling Gowing ST-1

I’m finding the finish on the SV-1 is going really well, and all of the undercoating colour and clear is Rustoleum product. Cutting it back to even out the height differences in the colours and the height of the vinyl decals has actually been a lot less terrifying than I thought it would be.

Thats fair enough mate i would like to have a crack with Rustoleum on the LP. Whatever you do it will come up nice i'm sure.

If it’s the Rustoleum 2X that I used be aware that it eats the rubber on guitar stands and gets it stuck to it...

Thanks for that heads up Robbo, it’s good to be forewarned.

Yikes that isn't good. It does take a long time to completely cure, I wonder if that was because there was still some solvent escaping... I will keep that in mind if that's the way I go with it. Still not sure, thinking yellow or mustard with a racing stripe at the moment.....

Decisions, decisions. Still struggling to find a direction for finishing. I'm leaning to a translucent mustard colour with the racing stripe. But I also kinda like the white. The BR Green is awesome, but I have so many dark coloured guitars already.....

The gold look is kind of tempting as well.

Argh. why is this so hard with this one?

I guess I'll just start sanding........
