Only just finished moving into a new rental and still going through the process of getting setup. Working out of garage- major drawback is its carpeted so sanding etc outside (not advantageous for a Ranga) Major plus its airconditioned. Also place had an extra room so had somewhere to set up jam room.
Looks like a nice space though - you could always lay down a 2nd hand rug from the op shop to protect the carpet.

I am making a jam room a high priority for our next place. I'll take a workshop downsize if it means we can have an air-conditioned, sound proof room to play in and keep the instruments.

Yeah the brick work would help. Humidity is a killer everywhere.

Life is a work in progress isn't it? I think people become too focused on "when I get/do/achieve X I will be happy". There is always something else. Its the journey not the destination that makes you happy, if you aren't enjoying the process, that's what you have to change.

Have to say, really happy everyone is throwing up pics, its been a great insight. Keep them coming.

A few years back I lined and carpeted a single brick storeroom to use as my office. These days its just a man cave. There is 2 inches of wool insulation behind the walls plus air con so I can go pretty loud before the neighbours complain . Excuse the mess.
You can guess which guitars are getting played the most, the rest are in a pile of cases.

    It's a great setup Dedman.

You probably just need mirror on the ceiling to complement the pimp purple. :P

My little ManCave / Studio area

As for the building - it's either on the back lawn or the carport

I've got a whole double garage but I pretty much stick to the one wall with my bench.

Gotta love the form ply bench. Don't know where I'd be without mine. I just wish I had room for a couple more.
