Show us your shed, workshop, office, dungeon.....

Had a big clean up in what I pretentiously term 'the studio' these days. I'm sure you have noticed in the background of my pics the general clutter and chaos. Dumped a trailer load of clutter, offloaded some bits and pieces and did a lot of reorganising.

Since moving the car project on I've been gradually reclaiming the space. Its now a workshop come office/hobby room. I'd love to sound proof and insulate it properly (how do you like the $200 Kmart insulation job? Works really well!) but we are probably going to sell and get a bigger place (with a better music area I hope) in the next year or so, so not worth the outlay. It works fine as Is and I can still open the roller doors and let a breeze through. Been a scorcher outside today, but surprisingly pleasant inside, apart from the dust and 1000 odd displaced spiders.

Anyway, show us where you work. I've seen the whole spectrum on here from people working in the box the kit came in, to people who clearly have a great setup to work in. Give us look at the lab.

Nice, bloke!! I hear you on the heat; I've got two roller doors, an overhead fan and 3 pedestal fans and still won't do anything out there in the middle of the day!!

...pretty basic but works for me and is a damn sight more luxurious than the manky, small garage I had in Jersey!!

Hah! Looks like home to me Love it.

Putting down the rugs and clamping the doonas up has made an enormous difference to the heat and also deadens sound so the whole place doesn't shake and buzz when I get loud.

I don't have a shed, I have a single car garage that requires I move the car out and put up a folding table to work on. I also have a double carport that doubles as a spray area. I do have a nice office however.

Lol holy shit Deddy. Nice Katana collection!

I'm probably more jelly of the aircon.

I've done my share of time not having a decent shed/work area so I totally sympathise. But honestly- you make the most of the space as is clearly evident in your builds.

That was kind of the idea of this thread. Some people have awesome setups - others are working with what they have, but everyone has the potential to build a great guitar regardless.

    Keep them coming people.

Nice and neat Grubsta. Man I've had some workshops in rental spaces, so frustrating! Was a lot easier when I was single and having a dismantled carburettor on the table at dinner time wasn't an issue.

Nice little space you've got setup.

Sure it is! If you can churn out something like your Tele in that situation its great inspiration for those considering having a go.

Maybe a shot when its being used as a workshop- not somewhere to put the roast chook....

Haha! My first build was entirely indoors on the dining table too! Too cold in the garage in winter. The wife whined non stop. Now it's a patchwork and sewing centre
