Thumbs Up A first kit for Christmas: JMA-1L

That's it ! Christmas has come, opportunity for me to realize a project: assemble my guitar myself to have the result that I want!
    So I settled on a JMA-1L because I love the model! ^^
I want to say that I have absolutely no experience in this area, and that the only material I have is my necessary to make my effects pedals, a drill and ... that's it!
I count on you to accompany me a maximum, including in the choice of tools! haha
The problem is that I forgot to order the necessary tools at the same time as the kit (what a bullet I am) and that ordering me would be too expensive with the shipping and so I will have to find them elsewhere! (with your help if you want it)

I have ordered these objects for the moment in addition to the kit:
    - Grover 406C Tuner
    - TUSQ PQ-5000-L0 nut
    - vintage white nitrocellulose paint

I will post videos and photos as often as possible and I am waiting for the reception of my kit with the greatest impatience!

    Good evening / day!
    Musically,

    Volgar

    Hi Volgar

Those should all work just fine.

If you can find them try getting a set of Brad Point drill bits as well as the normal ones:

    https://www.amazon.fr/ENT-Ensemble-r...s+1mm+perceuse

These cut better and cleaner, the standard drills can wander/move from your mark as you try to drill.

You should get a longer steel rule if you can 60cm may not be long enough:
    https://www.amazon.fr/Silverline-MT6...FE1NHJBPF7PXFY

it makes it easier to reach the full scale length (25.5"/648mm)
    FrankenLab
Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.

Like these one or these one ?

After these purchases, would I have everything you need for the build? (I already have the drill, the G Clamps, and the iron wool)

Will I need more sandpaper or will it be enough?

    Anyway, thanks for the help!

No need for the neck glue - the JMA-1L is a bolt on neck, so you don't glue it on.

In terms of sandpaper - you'll only use the 800 1000 1200 1500 2000 2500 3000 for a cut and polish at the end. In general, the grits below 600 should be fine for the body to get it up and running. Given you're spraying the body and its ash - you might want to consider a filler - something like:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Filler-Wat...rds=timbermate
I'm not sure what is available in France - if you can get Timbermate for a reasonable price, its a good product.

You do not need neck glue. The JMA-1 is a bolt on neck, not a set neck.
Looks like rasp is a mistranslation - the tool looks like a fret file - which could come in handy.

I'm sorry but I can't understand two sentences (my english tools is not very good! ^^)
For the sand paper, I need to buy only sand paper bigger than 800, I don't understand <600 utility ? Did I need it so ? ^^

What is the utility of a filler ? Timbermate products are really really expensive on French amazon, so I search an other one but I don't know the translate of "wood filler" in french (Litteral traduction doesn't work)

Yes, rasp is a mistranslation, I use this word because the guide say "File or fine rap"

    Sorry - yes, you will need 120 150 180 240 320 400 600 grits to sand the body.

    800 1000 1200 1500 2000 2500 3000 will only be used after you spray to get a glossy appearance.

Ash has a strong grain and sanding will leave a largely flat, but not completely flat surface for the spray. Filler will make the surface flatter so that the spray doesn't show the grain. Timbermate is good for staining, but if you are spraying, there will be other alternatives.

Another word for filler is putty - maybe that is a better word for translation?

They look right - the last seems to be better, but I don't know any of the products so can't be sure.
