    Barnsey's RCM-1

This little beauty turned up a few days before Christmas, its been on back order for a few months so turned out a nice chrissy present to myself. Mahogany body and neck, it looks tiny after the other guitars. Looks like really cool guitar and i have no idea what to do with this one, the others i had a plan this one im stumped. Guess I'll have a few beers and stare at it for a few hour'sClick image for larger version.

    Hey Adam!
Just got my RC-1m as well. I'm wondering how you're planning on sanding down the groove at the bottom to be nice and smooth?

So I've decided to cover the whole guitar in ebony timbermate and sand it back, i also found a piece of meranti which I might be able to make the cover plate out of so i would do the body and cover plate one colourand the veneer another. The headstock not sure whether to go rc shape or match the body?Click image for larger version.

I prefer the one on the left as well, but in both cases check the clearance of your tuners before you fix on the design. The right one definitely wouldn't cover the "D" tuner, and I the the "G" tuner might be exposed in the left one.

Is there any grain for the timbermate to highlight, Barnsey? It might be a candidate for a solid colour, perhaps?

Thanks fretty I'll move it forward a bit. Yes swanny there's not much grain ive got blackstump and bushfire sunrise laft over from the grs and i was thinking bla ck stump on the veneer and one light coat of bushfire sunrise onthe mahogany which after the ebony timber mate could look smart
