i was able to spend most of the weekend working on guitars and making beer, managed to get 5 coats on over the last few days and is starting to flatten out and get a bit of shine to it

gave it a wet sang with 1200 grit and another coat of 50/50 t/o , starting to get nice and shiny

been 2 coating with 50/50 mix and wet sanding in between each day this week and it was nice and shiny but not getting flat, but id forgotten one inportant step, to wet sand with t/o 50/50 mix. Its nice and flat now and 2 thin coats to go till a buff and polish

polished up and a few bits fitted still need to do the wiring and fit the nut but getting close

Put some string on tonight and the truss rod cover. Its looking pretty snazzy, i havent done any of the wiring yet that will happen over the weekend. I havent been able to get the top nice and flat its very shiny but each coat keeps leaving lines in it. I suspect its because of the high humidity and temps the t/o is going tacky as i wipe it on, done somewhere between 20 and30 coats with wetsands every 5 or 6 coats. The back and pick guard are fine its only the top maybe the black shows more faults. But going to finish it of and wait a month or 2 then give another wet sand and recoat
