    Hi from Melbourne

    Hi folks,
Joined recently and just finished (nearly ;p) my first PBG an FV-1
Not my first build (my avatar's that one and cost me considerably more, but used very high end parts).
Very impressed with the PBG kit in general for the price but couldn't resist replacing the pot's with CTS, the switch with All Parts and tuners with Grover locking ones.

Hi Digit welcome to the forum. Would love to see some better pics of your FV-1 build, and you have 2 weeks to enter into December GOTM competition. Is the FV-1 basswood with nice figure or ash ? Hard to see. It's not flame maple
Also would love to see some pics of your 1st build looks like a tele ? Also to hear your upgrades on that one.

    Cheers Wokka,
will see what I can do round some better pics, not going to win any comps it was a project to get my son interested, but actually came up nice got a pretty good washed Denim look front and back and Blue-Purple semi worn sides (Black acrylic grain popping gets a real nice metal purple when you go over it with a blue tint ;p )
First build was a Japanese Double bound string though Ash body with a Warmoth vintage C shaped 9.5" radius style neck
Brierly vintage scatter hand wound pickups (not cheap but very good value from an Aussie maker https://www.facebook.com/pg/Brierley...2014457/posts/
Wilkinson Vintage 3 brass saddle compensated bridge
    Dimarzio switch, jack and pots.
Finished in about 12 coats of Tru Oil (really love the colour after aging) and Gotoh vintage tuners.
Was going for a variation on an old Blackface come noCaster
Probably cost me more than a MIM re-issue ;p
But she Quacks like a duck and was hugely satisfying to build

    cheers mate

Will see what I can manage over the weekend
My 13 year old sons a Metal freak (detune to death) and is starting to hassle for a Baritone. Just strung up a Blonde Affinity Tele with 12-56's to keep him satisfied for now.
Would love to see some details on your Ash Tele Baritone

ps. I got GAS too ;p
got to make some wall mount racks to hang over a dozen axes!

Yeah, I have an Ibanez MMM1, 28.5” scale, they’re great fun to thrash, and you get some really cool grooves playing clean.

Edit: I also need to build that rack!

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.
