I was turned off by the insane postage costs that doubles the price of most parts coming to Australia. I used to use the visual custom body part of the site to build dream guitars. (Used to only work for S, T & J style guitars. Maybe it works for them all now haven't looked for a while.)

I have a Warmoth swamp ash jazz bass, besides the postage costs..... a very good instrument. Complete cost still worked out less than an American Jazz Bass with higher quality components. Check out the unpainted specials, good value.

I bought an unfinished alder body and roasted maple neck to build for my brother-in-law as a birthday present. I got them to do a fairly weird rout for the pickups and they did it perfectly, and the body and neck themselves are absolutely beautiful. Not cheap - but it is very very high quality work.

I've got a few necks from them and they are definitely quality pieces. The cost is awfully high though.
