Thread: Guvna & Son - JBA-4 - No.1 Bass Build

  1. #91
Hi Guv. Headstock came up trumps (probably have to drop that word from my vocab.).
Did you go with a decal in the end?

Hardware should fix the balance issue methinks.

    cheers, Mark.

howdy Mark, the headstock is engraved with white paint carefully rubbed in. messed around with decals for a bit but couldnt get White on the fine lettering to stand out

O.K. Still, it came up excellent.
For a first build I certainly hope my first build comes within a bull's roar.

    cheers, Mark.

Looking very nice indeed. Well done.

The clover leaf tuners do look rather large when all turned the same way, but it's unlikely to look quite like that when strung up and tuned. I'd also imagine that the dark blue/black on the headstock makes it look smaller than if just glossed wood.

Can't wait to see it all finished!

Looks great when all put together, So much so that it's probably worth taking a little more time to get the finish mirror-smooth, as I can see what look to be quite a lot of small pits in the clearcoat on the body.
