Fender have announced a new "Japan exclusive" range in Australia, unique colours and limited availability. These models cost more than the Mexican range and less than the US range. Check it out.

Nice but starting at $1,899 and heading north rules me out.

Pricey, but I’m willing to bet better than the USA axes...

I am baffled by the pickguard on the Paisley Tele. It serves no functional purpose other than to cover up a third of the paintjob. And they have to know that because they made it semi-transparent? Why not a fully clear one like the Smuggler's Teles???

The Ritchie Kotzen Strat looks so slick though, holy moly. If I had money...

Agreed. Not sure who the target market for that paisley guitar is anyway. I like the Jag with the P90's, but for $2400 I could build 5 copies, with a stack of upgrades. Or two brand spanking Hagstoms...or any number of other guitars. I know the Japanese guitars are good quality, but it really seems like you're mostly paying for the headstock decal.

*cough* isn't that Fender in general though *cough

And also, I'd love a Paisley Tele so count me in to that market! Just... Not with a pickguard... Or control plate lol

Did you really mean to write "Jag with the P90's''. You do realize that it's a Jazzmaster right?
