Just ordered a new book online from America.

    Hi Everyone,

I've just ordered a new book online from America, the book itself is titled "Joe Meek's Bold Techniques".

For those of you who don't know who Joe Meek is, he is a famous English producer from the 1950's who pioneered a lot of the studio recording techniques and effects that are now commonplace, he's also responsible for composing some famous hits of the 50's, such as "Telstar", "Have I the right?", and "Johnny, remember me".

I ordered the book online from this website:

I assume you've seen the movie, "Telstar - the Joe Meek story", doc?

And I don't think Meek wrote "Have I the right?"; he produced it, but I'm positive someone else wrote it! Happy to be wrong, though!
"If it's Blues music in a bar and it helps people swallow their drink of choice, or it's a dance song and people get up off their chairs and shuffle their feet, or it's a Jazz tune and the Chardonnay tastes so much better... then it's all good."

Yeah, I've seen parts of that movie on youtube, and I'm happy to be proven wrong about that song too, he definitely did produce it though.

    Update:

I just received the book in the post this afternoon, it's a pretty good read, lots of interesting details on what gear Joe Meek used to record all the music he produced.

Here's a pic of the book I ordered online:
