@ wazkelly Cool looking guitars, I like the bass guitar you scored, it looks a bit like a Musicman bass.

Missus is fed up with my side of the garage having been dedicated to guitar kit building for past 2 years, not to mention how much time is taken up finishing them. Will play it cool for a while and maybe beg for one for xmas as next birthday is just over 6 months away.

Thanks Doc. Weird shaped scratch plate on the Yammy Bass that may yet end up as a non returning frisbee but the more I look at it the more I am coming around to accepting it. Just looks a bit abruptly cut off in front of the control knobs. Might see if a spare black scratch plate can be bought as that would blend better. And yes, the body shape is similar to a Musicman and will line it up with the one under construction to see how close they compare.

How is your opinion the Grungemaster after a month? Hows the action and tuner reliability?

I'm still considering getting one in the next batch they have.

Hi mate, must admit I have been so busy on other things it has hardly been touched. That said, it is great value for money and love the sound of the P90's. Yet to change strings, wax the fretboard, lightly 1500 w&d dry sand back of neck and do proper setup. Once that has been done it should be hard to stop playing ahead of all others in my collection.

    Grungemaster electronics transplant...

With a few spare recycled bits and pieces floating around I have finally got around to transplanting better quality US made stuff into this beast to replace the stock low grade Chinese stuff. Also waxed the fretboard, done the action and intonation but tend to think it may be a bone coloured plastic nut??? Genuine Bone Nut was ordered with the Gibbo styled 3 way switch and replacing that is another job on the 'to do' list. Think I have a spare set of 10-46's lurking about somewhere as they should really bring this beast to life.

Also gave the Yammy Bass action a tweaking and applied lots of lemon oil to a very, very thirsty rosewood fretboard. Not a lot to see hence no photos.
