    Yamatji SC1 - Semi-Scratch Build

Got all the base items ready to go:

Pit Bull LP style Maple neck
    Mahogany body blank
    Figured Tuart cap

    Still need:

    Tune-o-matic Bridge
    Pickups (IronGear)
    Machine Heads
    Knobs and Pots
    Output Jack
    New Nut (Tusq)
    Three Way Toggle Switch

Templates are made and ready to go. Finishes haven't been decided yet, but I'm leaning towards a purple burst. As soon as the weather warms up a bit, I'm going to start my build!

I made the template mate. Took lots of patience, but one thing I've taken away from my other build is the understanding that I need plenty of it!

Hey Darryl, I've a set of kit chrome LP machine heads and TOM Bridge and tail piece you can have if it helps, or do you have designs on something a bit more up market?

Oh man! I wanna say yes, but haven't thought that far ahead yet. I think finish will determine hardware. If I go with a natural wood finish, I'll go gold hardware. Purple or green finish, probably chrome. I think blacks out of the question for this build. But thanks heaps for offering. Best keep them for now in case there's someone else on here that really needs them. I'll cross that 'bridge' when I come to it!! Haha!

Have you done a gum turpentine wipe down on the drop top? it should bring up the grain and put you in the right direction.

Nah I haven't. Just a light dampen with a spray bottle. The top is still pretty rough, so once I've sanded it down I'll have a better look at it
