Making decals will never be the same again...

Hows this for a piece of kit!? It's a kickstarter project that will apparently cost $299 for early birds then eventually $449, and they've raised over $800K (from an initial goal of $25K)!! Imagine the kinds of things you could do with this in guitar building...

    Completed Builds: #1 TL-1 "Telemaster" (GOTM Oct 2016); #2 The "Maplecaster" scratch build; #3 JB-4 "Bass IV" (co-winner GOTM Jan 2017); #4 ST-1M "Surfcaster" (GOTM Apr 2017), #5 JZA-1 "EC Deluxe"

    In Progress:
    Build #6 N1R "Semi-scratch" build
    Build #7 JZA-1 Baritone

    The Cavan Project
    The Magnificent Compaņeros

Actually just looking at the Kickstarter page (it's linked here) it looks like the early bird is now $379.

How long before someone tries to do skin engraving with it? If you got the depth of burn right it would probably be permanent, like branding. Hardest part would be staying completely still. Just saying.
    Worlds okayest guitar player.

Hey, I've got a great idea, let's house a laser powerful enough to engrave wood and cut thin plastics in a small box on a flimsy stand that can potentially be knocked over or waved around during use. HA!

Sorry guys, but I seriously doubt this thing will ever pass safety standards. Be very cautious if you plan on spending money here.

Ricardo, check youtube, it's already happened. Speaking from experience, laser burns hurt way more than a regular burn.
