    Yet another beginner

    Greetings All,
Just ordered my first kit. PBA-4 with maple neck. Intend to finish with Dingotone Nullarbor Ochre and Acacia neck finish.
For some reason, I am determined to arrive at a 'P' Bass type instrument.
I did some classical guitar work 40 years ago, then life got in the way, so I started learning bass as a retirement project a little while back. Still hopeless, but it's good fun!
First attempt was like Homer Simpson plays bass. https://youtu.be/uz3ph1XLNFY I brought home a Peavey amp (very nice) and an Epiphone EB-03 ('cos it sounded good!). But..the weight! and it's SO neck heavy.
Take 2. Off to another shop to buy a P Bass. Y'know simple, single pickup, two control knobs, then got sidetracked into an Ibanez SR500 which has two pups, five knobs + a switch! It's a lovely piece of work, even though I will never use its full capacity.
Now back to simple, single pup & two knobs. At least I have the headstock decal design! (Beyond Blue will understand)
