Thread: Jed51's first build - JBA-4M bass

    Smile Jed51's first build - JBA-4M bass

Had one slot free on my guitar stand so thought I'd give this a go.
Box arrived last week - all looks good - big dint on front face of body but it will be under the bridge so no real issue to fill.
Mock build confirms all the bits.
    Next step - the headstock.

Big dint? Is it the hole for the Earth wire to the bridge?

That's the one hole you DONT want to fill mate!

A little trick I used is take some spare wire of some sort and run it thru that hole into control cavity I folded the wire an double it up so that it fills the entire channel but can still pull it thru. So that when you sand and fill if needed the debris doesn't get into the channel and you can push the wire up thru or pull it out to clear anything that makes its way into there.

Glad we got there before the filler came out, or, went in, as it were.

It starts with a spare slot on the guitar rack.
& ends with a while new rack...
