    Ive brought a small piece of .5mm quilted veneer one as a test peice and two to make a truss rod cover, what would be the best material to glue it too. I was thinking about a piece of plastic or the back of a piece of laminex with contact glue

    Hi Barnsey, love the quilt, they look like matched book ends. As to you question on the veneer on the truss rod cover, i did the same on my SG-1, used the original plastic cover and used titebond to glue a matching veneer to it.

    Thanks nitro i actually found some 2mm packing masonite at work today so ive glued it onto that tonight and clamped it

    good coverage Barnsey. First time you do this it looks messy but well worth it when it's sanded off

    No kidding the stuff goes ends up every where lucky i covered the face with paper and tape first would have got it all over the quilt
