    Non Pitbull ES330 Tribute

Bought this kit a while back for a bargain and after finishing some other projects, I finally got around to starting it. It's a semi-hollow body with a flame top and mahogany neck. I'll be putting some Tonerider Rebel 90's in it eventually. I've always wanted a semi and never had P90's so I thought I'll combine the both and pay tribute to a often forgotten beauty. This will be a long term project as I want to get it just right....and the Minister of War and Finance is already at me about the budget. I'll be leaving the colours until the final reveal but here is a small taster for you all.

Looks Tidy ILR, and to paraphrase Dr. Smith:

Nice kit with plenty of meat in the flame top cap for a change. Gold Hardware too from what was seen lurking in the background of 2nd shot.

No fooling you Waz but I'll be upgrading some of the hardware. Tuners, bridge, nut and knobs for starters. Nuts arrived today! (Let's see the response to that phrase!)

I got Tonerider Rebel 90's in my ES....they sound great.
If you change out the kit pots, make sure you get minis! anything else through the F holes is a nightmare.

    Noted Andy. Thanks.

I spent today starting to removing glue spots before it got too dark. Goof Off, a scraper and some 320 grade sandpaper works wonder. Started on the electronics tonight. Going vintage style with individual controls when in the middle position. Will be picking up some .22uf capacitors next week and will try the kit 500k pots first before thinking about changing. I've set up a wiring template so I can wire it up and test the sounds before I try the monumental task of trying to fit the harness.
