The key to using super glue, on anything, is always apply the first drop/squirt/gush on a piece of paper towel far away from its intended target.

Gotta love this weather in Sydney. Staining done, a few coats of naughty oil, new bone nut installed, headstock shaped and veneer glued and clamped! Great few days of progress. Pictures to follow.

Good news. The weather here has settled down to a more typical summer with temperatures in the mid-upper 20s with some light cloud and a bit of breeze. Breeze welcome most of the time except when you're sanding outside and the paper keeps blowing away!

Have you noticed how Superglue has a wonderful tendency to glue your fingers together really well rather than what you're actually trying to glue together?

Yes, especially when you are doing fiddly thing like inlay. You could end up with fingers stuck to each other and your fretboard.

Afraid that's an urban myth. It was developed simply as a glue. During the Vietnam war, a non-toxic version of superglue was then developed for battlefield wound repair, but the basic glue already existed.

Good point ILR. I do use them with spray and stain. I suppose I should with the CA too.
