First IronGear pickup arrived in the mail. Dirty Torque for the bridge. Neck pickup should follow soon. 6100 fret wire on its way. Not far off making my modifications to the base model. Might fit a Tusq nut. Polish off the finish and give the back a few more coats. Then I'll upload the beast in all its heavenly glory 🤘🏾
I noticed too that the nut seems a bit high. There's about 0.7mm of fretboard and binding below the nut which hasn't been cut into. Is this right? I thought that the nut would be level with the fretboard and binding on the bottom.
Here it is.

If it's the same both sides I wouldn't worry about it too much. But from the photo, the nut slots are all different heights. Normally you could just remove the nut, sand the bottom down a bit and replace it to get the strings lower. But with such unevenness, I'd be looking at cutting the slots deeper, and then filing down the top of the nut a bit (though that bit is optional). But to cut the slots properly, you really need a set of nut files, and good ones aren't cheap. For a once- or twice-off job, it's cheaper taking it to a luthier to do, but once you get to 3+ guitars, it's probably time to invest in some nut files.
Alternatively there may be some PBG forum members in the Perth area who could do it for you.
Does anyone know what the radius is of the LP kits? Mine looks pretty flat but I didn't want to make any assumptions
The fretboard radius is 12" on almost all of the PBG kits. I think the IB-6 is the only exception with its compound radius.
Scott.
yeah think that's correct Weirdy

Yeah cool. I want to do a regret, but don't want any flat spots. So I wanted to make sure I kept the radius right
