    Hi. From Western Australia

Hi everyone. I've been snooping around here for a while and thought I better say hello.
PBG rock! Service and support is unbeatable.
I am also hugely impressed with the info and some of the finished guitars on this forum. I have built a tele deluxe, and a couple of Les Paul kits as well as an ash tele that has since been chambered out, re routed, reshaped and made into my own version of a surf/skate caster.
I just today received the new ash jazzmaster and it looks awesome. A bit of a bummer that the routing is ever so slightly different from the genuine article, as I have been accumulating jazzmaster parts and a mustang bridge in hope of Adam one day coming to the party with a jazzmaster kit.
I will have some customising to do as I want to put in a Seymour Duncan hot for jazzmaster in the neck and a DiMarzio dactivator in the bridge. I know you purists will cringe at high out put pick up in a jazzmaster but it is something I have always wanted to do but there is no way I was going to do it to my jazzmaster re issue.
I look forward to seeing pics from all you fellow jazzmaster kit builders soon.

    Welcome Infsub
If you are planning a solid colour finish just fill the bridge post holes and redrill to suit yours. The lack of the Jazzmasters complex switching is a bummer at first but last week I had a muck around with an original and frankly would never use most of them myself. I wired mine with a tele 3 way switch. There is plenty of room in the switch cavity and the pot cavity for push pulls or micro switches if you wanted to go that route, especially if you use a custom pick guard.
Good luck with the build and I look forward to seeing where you take it.

Hi Infsub welcome to the forum. Sounds like you got plenty of experience so look forward to your JM build.
It's your build so you do what you like. Doubt anyone will cringe what pickups you put in it. Plans sound great.

    Thanks for the welcomes.
Yes Andy, those listed are all pitbull guitars, I have a few other builds from other manufacturers I have pics of all builds. I just can't figure out how to upload them to a post. Any help on that one would be greatly appreciated.

Deadman. I am using dupli color metal cast but with out their primer and base coats. I absolutely love this method. It is like using trans tint in a spray can. The grain pops through the colour and the more coats the darker the tint.
A couple of coats of minwax wipe on poly, a coat of poly tinted with some drops of black ink to give a 3d look and two more coats of clear poly.

That vinyl wrapped Green/Black RG and the 'drawn together' decoupage LP both look fantastic...

    Very nice work..
