I wasn't to sure about the shape of the pickguard but I think you've nailed! Great looking! And that body.... I keep thinking of some distorted tv channel in black and white... Something from my youth when there was no color tv...

    Anyway, awesome!!!!

Thanks kick I know it's hard when your so used to seeing the traditional shape of the Fender pickguard but I decided I wanted to make sure that people didn't think I was just copying something else. I keep looking at it and wandering should I or not. I do have to tweek some of the curves and make sure it's square across the pickup rout but I think it's growing on me. I think that the routes are a little out of square with the body so I have to try and hide that. And I remember exactly what your talking about the tv when we had 4 channels off of an antenna and we had to go twist the micro adjust knob to bring the picture in better which most of the time was still really fuzzy.. when I stain the color I think it will add lots of depth..

Ok got some work done on the bass today after I ran my first 5k race.. I got the battery box router out and had to make some adjustments to the control cavity to fit the active preamp controls. And I got the first coat of trans fast dye on looks like it coming out pretty good..

DD, that colour is epic! Its like the effect you get on Beetle carapaces, multi hued and slight shimmery. Wonderful stuff!

Ok I need some advice and wiring help from you experts. I have purchased a preamp kit for this from tone monster and it has a. I solder connector for the two pickups. I have seen people wire these dual humbucker musicman style pickups so they can switch between parallel and in series ...I think. Would it provide any additional tone or flexibility if I installed a switch so that I could switch the rear pickup and how would I wire it into his setup.
