    JS Series Guitars

I'll start out by mentioning that I am a massive Joe Satriani Fan.

So with that cleared, I realized a few weeks ago that there is a kit available that is based off of and probably licensed by Steve Vai.

Now I have a huge amount of respect for Vai and his music and his style of guitar.

But I can't help but wonder if there is any way we could get one of these beauties on here?

    Thoughts or opinions anyone?

(I hope this has not been mentioned before, and if so, my bad)

I second that idea. I love the Satriani guitars and would be into building my own version. Making my own version of the chrome boy or Surfing With The Alien guitars at home would be quite a challenge though.

I'm with you on that, I styled my Original FrankenWashie build after the JS.

It is in the process of being re-imagined...not yet all in one piece! But you get the idea from the first photo.

Really amazing, FrankenWashie, I would love to be able to put a kit like that together, it would be the first thing I would buy.

Does anyone know if there are any restrictions in place that prevent PBG from obtaining a kit like that?

Thanks man. Usually the only restrictions are:
Factory availability; there's only a limited number of designs that the factory can produce. We've also seen that they struggle with custom orders a wee bit so adapting their existing manufacturing to newer kits can take time to get right.
Demand for kits; Adam stocks and imports a pretty wide range, but normally just what sells. You could always have him inquire if factory can produce it. Asking the question costs nothing, it's just that the answer may end up being no.

I'm not sure if there are any copyright restrictions associated with the JS shape, that may also limit what can be done.
