    R.I.P. Chris Cornell

Just heard the news that Chris Cornell passed away only hours after Soundgarden played a show in Detroit.

I feel absolutely gutted, Soundgarden were one of the bands I came to love in the 90's and Cornells vocals and songwriting abilities in all the bands he was in were hugely inspiring to me.

Temple of the Dog is still one of my top 5 albums of all time, and along with his solo work and Audioslave he has left a huge back catalog of amazing music.

I'm off now to listen to 'Say hello to heaven.'
    Worlds okayest guitar player.

Damn. I'm really upset by this news.

Soundgarden were very important to me as a teenager. I've already shared it on FB, but when I heard, this song started playing in my head.

Was driving around a fair bit today and MMM had a good session on the radio with interviews, etc.

Very talented person and sad to see him check out so soon. Gotta wonder what tipped him over the edge? So sad as I believe he had plenty of Sound Garden material ready for a new album.
