The headstock/neck is done...tuning pegs attached and had to redo the decal.
Still clear coating the body (weather has been an issue)...finally able to get a decent pic with the color.
Bought an after market pickguard in tortoise shell, had to trim for the project at hand.
Ugh...started polishing the clear coat, forgot to be careful with the edges where it got thin...reapplying clear coat.
OK...clear coat polishing going well...did a wet sand with 2500 grit, and hand rubbed with Maguire's 205...pics to follow

Going to hit it with Maguire's 9 Swirl Remover next.
Love the way the metallic flake is showing.

Looking nice and polished. Well done.
Thanks Simon, I can see the end in sight!!!
It's finally done!!!
Soldering went better than I thought it would after 30 years...
Hardware installation was easy.
I had to do a little extra trimming on the pickguard.
She plays like a dream!

Black and tortoise shell just look so right together. Will have to do one in that combo at some point.
Great looking guitar, the trem is a nice addition.
