Hi James. You'll find that most of the lingo is the same. A few slight variations like metho = methylated spirit. Stuff like the DingoWax that is talked about here is Australia-only at the moment, but there are plenty of other finish options you can use. We UK people also have the benefit of quick delivery and numerous luthier suppliers. The Aussies often have to wait weeks for posted items to arrive and often have to buy from the US.

I've got an EX-1 kit myself that needs assembling. Just waiting until the weather is warm enough to work outside and leave stuff in the garage without the finish being damaged by cold and damp.
