Cheers mate, I'll keep you updated on how it all goes.
Update:
Installing ProTools LE 6.4 on the Compaq PC seems to have fixed the Digi001 Driver problem, unfortunately, it has created a new problem, whenever I try to launch the Protools LE software, I get a Blue Screen of Death and the PC re-boots, looks like I will have to download and install the latest PACE anti-piracy update file to fix it (I know cause I've had to deal with this before), geez, whoever thought up this system seriously needs to re-think it, why have an anti-piracy system if it renders ProTools LE, and your PC practically unusable?, I dunno.
Update 2:
I managed to find the PACE update file I needed on one of my external HDDs, installing it completely fixed the Blue Screen of Death issue, and ProTools LE appears to launch correctly, now, all I need is a valid authorization code to be able to use the software for recording, there's one more problem to resolve now, I still can't get the Digi001 to play back sound cleanly in FL Studio, all I get are loud clicks in the headphones, even if I set the buffer setting to it's maximum length, I still get the loud clicking-popping sounds, funnily enough, Device manager now reports that the Digi001 is working correctly when it clearly isn't, I'm seriously wondering if it's a device firmware issue....hmmmmm....
Update 3:
Just tried installing the driver for my Scarlett 2i2 usb Audio Interface on the Compaq PC and it is working perfectly, so I reckon the Digi001 is faulty in some way because I can't get the audio to work even though Device Manager says it is working.
