Nice score Wokka, I haven't had much experience with CNC machines, but i do know that once you have them set up they're great for reproducible results, when I was in South Hedland doing my Tech for my apprenticeship, the lecturers briefly touched on CNC machines.

You'll soon be knocking out 10 guitars a day. You might need a bigger shed!

Fully sick bro! Are you going to do custom shapes or just the standard ones?

It might be some time before he reads and fully understands the manual. Until that time they are probably all going to be very 'custom' shapes.

cheers guys. Haha nah won't be pumping out 10 axes a day. It is going to take some time to learn the programming side but Jarrod is going to give me some programs of tele, strat and some basic template programs.
@ Frankie yes the plan is to design some custom shapes when I'm up to speed
@ Pabs, the design software I'm using is Mastercam and I've forgotten what software drives the CNC, I'll make a note next time I fire it up.
Jarrod is coming over this arvo to help me setup a tele body cut out of a slab of marri. I'll post some pics and vids of that later

cheers Stan and Andy. Jrod helped me cut a tele body this arvo, we had to flatten the blank both sides but now I know how to do that with a flush cutter and set up to run the program. I'll post some pics later. Should have smelt the camphor smell !
I got a spare blank of camphor I'm going to cut for Jrod

Was so cool to watch the machine do all the work and all I had to do was vacuum the wood chips off !

Ok, you've done it... I love reading all your topics but I found myself wondering what all these strange words meant. So I added a Slang Aussie Dictionary to my Favourites so I now know what 'arvo' means

    And the CNC is awesome!
