New parts for my LP Studio guitar from Stewmac.

    Hi everyone,

I've just gone and ordered some new replacement parts for my Gibson USA LP Studio guitar from Stewmac, here's what I ordered:

    * 1 Gotoh Tune O Matic Bridge (Chrome) (The saddles are pre-notched and attached to the bridge via a nut and bolt).

    * 1 Set of Grover Deluxe 3-A-Side Chrome Vintage Tuners w/threaded bushings.

    * 2 New Gold Top Hat style Volume knobs.

    * 2 New Gold Top Hat style Tone knobs.

    * 4 Gold knob position indicators.

    * 2 Non-bleached pre-slotted Bone nuts for Gibson guitars (I bought them to replace the brass nut which really isn't doing much except causing tuning-stability issues).

Hopefully the new parts will arrive within a couple of weeks time, and I'll be able to do some maintenance work on the LP Studio.

Note: The new Gotoh bridge is to replace the original one because the saddles are a bit lose and setting the individual string-intonation is a bit hit-and-miss.

Cheers mate, it's a nice guitar when it's behaving itself, I really want it to be one of my main gigging guitars but haven't been inspired to play it much due to it's tuning-stability issues, hopefully the new parts will get it all sorted out.

I'll be sure to post a pic of the new parts installed on the guitar when they arrive, I should consider buying a PBG LP kit one day and put it together so that I have a spare LP guitar to play, if I do, I might get an LP kit with a flame maple top on it, and do a yellow-burst finish on it, it's about time I tried doing a burst finish, how's your Strat build going?
