Hey Guys, hello all. Just wanted to be sure about one thing as I work on my ES 2V kit, and that is you do not have to grain fill Maple or Basswood; is that correct? As always thanks in advance for help.

maple, no, basswood up to you, but I've never had to especially if you have sanded it well

As Stan says. Only use it on those woods if you need to fill any holes or sizeable dips to make the surface smooth, not as a matter of course.
