    Colored Hardware

    Getting bored of the usual Gold, Chrome, Black and Charcoal Chrome Bass Hardware. So i am customizing my own ! Plenty more colors i am experimenting with !!!

    looks cool Metalrulez, what sort of paint are you spraying the hardware with and do you think it will be durable enough ?
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Did you sand the chrome (or black finish) first to get a key for the paint to stick to?

    Thank you WokkaBoy. I am using the MetalCast paint. It is working great. Not coming off at all.

    No i didnt Simon. I just cleaned the chrome ready for painting. I wanted the chrome shine to come through the transparent chrome colored paint.

    I painted the inside of a couple of lamp shades with the bronze colour 3 years ago, its holding up well despite the heat. Made for auto use so I presume it has something in it to bite into bare metal.
