Haha tried that last time... only got half the amount! I'll def keep you all updated with the progression to my progress haha currently uni is taking a huge chunk of my time up gah hopefully Thursday night I should have the vid up of the unboxing and Friday I'll start sandingI've ordered my stains from the US. Got a real nice purple and a black. Going to use drops of the black to make the purple darker where needed. Can't wait to actually start the build!

They're just the PB standard pickups at this stage. Maybe looking at some EMG's or something a little different

Ok, I asked it because they look different than the PU's that came with my black hardware kit. Mine are just filled with some black epoxy or something and yours are 'open' at the back. Perhaps there's other hardware with the SG kits....

So, I fixed the heel of the neck to fit the pickup. I only removed material from the edge not any actual length so the scale is unaffected

Hey Shazz, better check the scale length, from memory I had to chop a bit of the neck heel - maybe it's not a problem anymore on current kits, that was years ago.
Best get the centre pup cavity routed early in the build !

Hey wokka, I measured it up yesterday and it seems to be all good! Once I fix the saddle in place I'll double check before fixing the neck
