G'day from an excited lefty in Melbourne, Australia

    Hello all.
I am so pumped and I haven't even received my first guitar kit yet!
    I've ordered a SGD 612!!
I am a lefty that has struggled for years to even play a guitar before I bought it only because the store didn't stock a L/H version of the guitar I wanted. It's very disconcerting to play a guitar upside-down to try and get a feel for it.
Buying a kit is an avenue for me to build and play guitars I'd only dream of owning.
I'd say mostly technology is a scary thing bordering on bad but thank goodness it is around now to provide an opportunity I did not have when I was a kid, teen and young adult

    Welcome Metalligun,

Hope your kit arrives soon, waiting takes so long...

There's heaps of great info here on the Forum to help with your build. They seldom go perfectly smoothly but it's almost certain that if you do have a problem, someone else has probably already had it and you can read about how they fixed problems and all the suggestions that contributed to those fixes.

I look forward to reading your Build Diary when your kit arrives.....

welcome to the forum Metaligun, good luck with the build. I've built a SGD-612 and there are so many ways to run the wiring !
Start a build diary when the kit arrives and ask any questions you have there
    Current Builds and status
scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Thanks Hobastard.
A main reason for buying a Pitbull kit was because of the extensive support and info forum.
I've never built, tinkered with or modified a guitar before so starting off with the double neck will be challenging and a great learning curve. I hope it is enjoyable and will be the start to many more kit builds.
The build diary will be posted, no worries :-D

    Cheers Wokkaboy!
Did you post a build diary for the SGD?
If so, I'd be keen as to read it.

    G'day Fretworn.
Adam was great. I just sent him an email asking for the availability of a lefty double neck and he sent me a link to the SGD 612.
Even though the page did not display a lefty option Adam said he'd order one in.
So I guess it is a kind of custom order. I'll have to wait a few months for it to arrive but I'm looking at it in the way that I'll be able to research kit building more and decide if I want to add any upgrades before I start building.
