hey Doc here's the jazz bass build diary from the start. There's a short demo on page 9 but it was rushed and the bass isn't 100% set up yet but you get the idea. Final pics are on page 7

Both the bass and the telecaster are looking great, the orange colour of the bass goes well with the white of the scratchplate, I just checked out the new MM-1 kit that Adam posted and I definitely want to order one of those, I've thought of two ways to finish it, I would either finish it in a clear coat, or stain the veneer a yellow colour and leave the rest of it a natural colour, and then clear coat it.
