Did anyone else think that all the pickup positions sounded the same? I really couldn't tell any significant difference. Maybe it's something to do with the amp or amp sim he's using. But when I switch my Les Paul pickups, there's a very noticeable tone change. The guitar looks well finished, though I'm personally not keen on those 'studs'.

So, is it just me or does anyone else think that there was next to no difference in the sounds?

Agree Simon. Sounded all the same. My LP has a definite difference in positions but I have also set it up that way. Although the sustain was good, I couldn't tell the difference. But doesn't that custom toggle switch cover makes all the difference?

Not me going mad then! Looks like the chap needs to swap one of those pickups out for one with a different tone. Or else he's messed with the wiring and is having a laugh!

It certainly isn't well recorded I think it's just camera audio. Gotta love that top.

Hmmm, if anything I reckon the PUP's are too hot for that guitar and probably more suited to a metal styled axe. It was missing those creamy neck PUP tones that LP's are famous for.....just think Joe Perry & Slash as a couple of names that readily come to mind.

There was only the faintest hint of any difference between PUP selections, and in fact I thought he had just one wired up because if what he said was true about the inductance there should have been a more noticeable difference.

Clearly he was happy with it and suppose that is all that really matters but it did nothing to convince me to buy those PUP's.

I'm beginning to think it was a spoof video. I've linked to a couple myself.
