    LP-1ML - Tobacco burst .

    Hi,

I have made a start on my LP-1ML. At this stage I am looking to end up with a tobacco/desert burst with a almost natural back as its mahogany.
The stains I have used were the Feast Watson 50 ml Proof tint bottles, Golden Teak and Japan Brown, I did use a little black stain right on the edge to help with the transition.
The tobacco burst was a great option for this body due to an imperfection at the cutaway where the binding was not quite right, this is completely covered by the burst now. I have scraped the binding and set the neck, next I plan to grain fill the entire back of the guitar before finishing.
I have used a traditional style head stock form and will be staining in the traditional black as per one of my other builds see photo.

Brilliant work DMartin, looks like a lot of patience and finesse in that burst. Superb job.
