    OK, routering is fun! (I may have gone slightly overboard) but the lower horn is now quite a bit better I think.
    Slightly different to what it was a couple of hours ago!

    Now there's just lots more minor shaping and sanding to do before it's back to where it was Hopefully worth it though!

    wow Bill you have gone to town with the re-shaping. Looks good. Pity you didn't do all that before staining !

    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    OK, after re timbermating most of the bass to seal and grain-pop, then re-sanding the whole thing up to 240 grit and then putting coat of Coolangatta Gold on I'm back to where I was a couple of weeks ago.
    I do like the new shape though!

    Sanded and ready for stain:

    This photo just makes it look like it's got a huge nose! (but i've got a fair nose on me too so it's kind of fitting)


    & I'm especially happy with the grain in the routed cut out for the lower horn:


    I do have two glue joins in the cutouts that I need to touch up but other than that the sanding seems to have come out fairly well. & Ash grain under Coolangatta Gold is lovely!
