    http://lojadorock.com/diy-kit-outros...it-silent.html

Looks identical to the Valkyrie one I linked to on the previous page. Probably took over after the other crowd went under.
It's a good looking kit, but a little too heavy metal looking for my tastes!
The copper pipe and rubber insulation is pretty cheap from the BGS, that will be the basis of my outline of the body initially I think.

ah ok Zandit I missed your link of the Valkyrie kit, yes it looks identical to the link I posted.

Sounds like a good option copper pipe and insulation for the body framework. I use that K-flex insulation to cover the cross members of my guitar racks to protect the axes. Works well and is easy to cut.

Ahh, that's the secret, it was a week night after finishing work!! No BBQ!
I have to go in occasionally as a recon to ensure they have stock available for certain requirements, and it's on the way home anyway!
Besides, I have to go there sometimes, they are the cheapest around for a gas bottle exchange!

Ideas are building slowly, but faster than my budget!!
I'm thinking that going String through will give me a weak spot across such a thin section of wood. Does anyone know of single saddles that are much cheaper than the Babicz Bass single saddles that are available at PBG?
    http://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/u...lo-rail-black/
$80 each is pretty steep, regardless of quality, for my budget, so has anyone seen something similar out there on the interwebs? I may be searching for the wrong terminology, but I'm not seeing much.

I found these a while back when I was looking for parts for a multiscale build. $5 US each

    http://www.rondomusic.com/saddle.html

    Bloody difficult to find.

EDIT: just remembered why I didn't get them. The shipping is outrageous. $US85 for 6 saddles. Totals to about $150aud.

Maybe it would work out a bit more reasonably if you know someone in the states to get it shipped to first or use Shipito.com or something similar.

    Awesome, thanks for that Pabs.
I do have a friend in the states who would be willing to help out with the shipping.

Actually now that I think of it, this probably won't work. I need to fit a bridge similar to an acoustic so the piezo pick up will work.
I may have no choice but to go with a standard acoustic style bridge, like Robin did with his build, or route a slot for the bridge to insert into the actual body.

    Thanks anyway Pabs.
