    Large guitar hardware suppliers

    G'day forum,
it's probably a long shot but might as well ask the forum.
4D want to build a double scale guitar, something that won't be playable but look really cool hanging from a wall.
I had a quick look at online shops who sell large guitar hardware but didn't find anything.
The timber side of it would be no problem.
We are looking for double scale bridge, pickguard (if we use a pickguard), output jack, tuners and if pickups, control knobs and switch are available would buy them. Otherwise can make pickups and control knobs out of pine and paint them.
Something like the picture below but not that big haha

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

I presume all the large guitar pics I have seen online the hardware must be custom built.

i think your best bet is make it all from wood and use one of the silver chrome paints for the hardware.
alternatively , have a black hardware theme and you dont have to worry about finding a good looking silver

cheers for the idea Stan, I may do that for some parts.
I've been chatting with Pablo gave me some cool ideas, might search for oval bass tuners.

Sounds like you may need to use an engineering firm/foundry and/or sheet metal fabricator to custom make some of the parts.

You could always have a bit of fun creating your own moulds and pour in some molten metal perhaps? Trying to get things shiny doing it this way may prove a bit of a challenge.

I have a mate that makes things like this out of fibreglass that can then be chrome plated, but after making moulds, etc, the cost is prohibitive for making less than 10.
If plan A fails, remember that you still have 25 letters left.

thanks for the ideas Waz and Andrew, the idea only happened about 8 hours ago so there's heaps more research for me to do.

Pablo said his laser cutting machine can cut metal plate soon so the bridge plate, jack plate and control plate could be cut by him. I'll look for some oval head bass tuners.
Hardest part will be the bridge saddles but think the 2 saddles per screw would be much easier to make than individual saddles.
At this stage I'm leaning toward a tele shape

Geez, 8 hours ago? That would have been morning tea time in Perth. I thought this idea might have been born out of a drinking session haha.

Definitely agree that Tele shape would be easier to fabricate the oversized hardware.
