    I have seen pictures of guitars for big name country bands playing Flying Vs though.

    A lot of country-rock bands have guitarists who play (or have played) Explorers.

    Yeah I know Explorers and LPs etc get a run, it was more a tongue in cheek comment posted at stupid o'clock when I came in got on the computer after getting home from the studio. ( no alcohol was involved )

    Yeah, Keith Urban played one at his concert just before Xmas. I lost track of how many different guitars he played that night!

    They are not just a headbanger heavy metal axe and surprisingly quite versatile. Even more so if you add split coils as I have done on mine so that it can produce some Fenderish tones. Almost reckon with neck split and someone blind folded they wouldn't be able to pick what was axe being played as it sounds more like a Tele neck PUP on that setting.
