    This is my sons SGB-34 bass, Finished in Classic white with racing stripes. This is our second Pit Bull Guitar kit Build. Hope you enjoy.

    Sweet SG bass Dmartin.
    @ Pabs he posted it on FB. The stripe paint was quick drying and reacted with the white paint

    Cheers Thank you. The cracking is an unexpected finish. I think it was a reaction between a 'quick drying' matt black paint and the gloss white finish. The intent was to have solid matt black stripes not the cracking effect. I think it turned out ok (thankfully).

    I love the crackling effect! Looks awesome and it makes it very unique!
    The best part is that you would have struggled to achieve that effect if you wanted to... :-)

    I thought the stripes were Hammertone finish there for a second. Great effect.

    Definitely a great finish effect. Unexpected results are sometimes the best as it adds something that creative thinking initially doesn't!
